ABOUT THE PROJECT

Braille is a tactile writing system used by people who are visually impaired. It is traditionally written with embossed paper. Now a days Braille users can read computer screens and other electronic supports withw refreshable braille displays. Over the world there are some model of braille displays are availabe, but they cost huge and don't support our native Bangla language, To over come this, one of my honorable teacher, Arif Reza Anwary(Asst. Professor, UIU) as well intrigued by PROF. DR. MD. FAYYAZ KHAN(Pro Vice Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh), motivated me to make a braille which will be low cost and it can be navigated through voice output narration. And not only to read braille it will also support audio books

Refreshable Braille Display is a device used by the visually impaired people. This device is designed with the support of Raspberry PI2. Voice synthesizer, multimedia books and easy braille game for visually impaired children.

Note: This device can represent any kind of txt file that written in English or in Bengali font into Braille symbols.
